# 40 Sun

Sun

I am loving the pre-apocalyptic look of this piece...

The sun was cut from a freebie background piece by Cynthia Powell and was the starting point.
The background was made with bits from Scrapbook Flair, Songbird Avenue and another piece from Cynthia Powell Designs.

The trees and birds are brushes from Jerry Jones at Shadowhouse.

  3. The sun is certainly the focus in this piece, and it has a certain foreboding feel, so I can see why you say it's pre-apocalyptic. Well done!

  5. The pre-apocalyptic thought resonates for me as climate change seems to have taken hold of my part of the world. We have had the hottest summer on record and, one month into autumn, the heat goes on and on. Your picture is stunning, Linda. I love the deep colours and the grungy textures and, of course, the birds. Fantastic artwork.
(PS - You called me Bev in your last comment! This is no surprise to me as we are often mistaken for each other. We call ourselves Tweedledum and Tweedledee. (I have been Bev's friend from a distance for over 12 years so we know each other very well).
