#28 Sorrow

Sorrow
The main images is from a cemetery in Germany. How sad this is...
The angel is from the Graphics Fairy. I used it before in the Heaven piece.
The background was made using bits from Brenda Starr and Rubyblossom from T4L, altered with gradient layers, blending modes and PS brushes. I used one of my "go to" sets for interesting texture, called Botched Ornaments. I don't remember which free brush site I found it on, but if you Google it, you might find it. it's worth looking for.

# 19 Silver and # 20 Half

Silver
Just a play with brushes (from Cottage Arts) and layer styles, trying for a metallic effect.

Half
A portrait of Virginia Woolf, whom I admire very much as a person and an artist. Her struggles with being a woman and a writer in a man's world, as well as her long, long struggles with depression paint a portrait of a tormented soul.
The photo is public domain.
The background was created using a piece from Spektoral Addendum at T4L and some original textures I made.
The rest was done with brushes, layer styles, filters and blending modes.
